With a caring and trauma-informed approach, I help clients explore and examine the root causes of their current distress, weariness, and emptiness to begin the process of healing old wounds, breaking unhelpful patterns, and finding new hope.
In this exploration, we also uncover and celebrate a client’s positive traits and strengths, helping them to shift their perspective to a more generous and compassionate understanding of themselves. I support my clients in the odyssey through self-exploration, helping them to build the courage to trust themselves, gain self-awareness, take action, and make lasting positive change in their lives.
My approach is influenced by psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I enter sessions with a person-centered approach, providing gentle support during difficult experiences, offering new perspectives, and encouraging my clients' rediscovery of their agency, engagement, hope, and self-worth.
Good therapy is built on the foundation of a safe and trusting relationship between the client and the therapist, which will always be a priority in our work together. Self-exploration can be challenging, and creating positive change takes courage and commitment. It's my honor and privilege to walk alongside you.
